OUR TEAM
At Los Chopos del Encinarejo, we have a team passionate about nature and deeply committed to preserving the natural environment of the Sierra de Andújar. Our main objective is to protect this unique ecosystem and offer our visitors the opportunity to enjoy and photograph it responsibly and respectfully.
We have expert rangers and guides with in-depth knowledge of the area and its wildlife. Their experience in the field guarantees a safe and enriching activity with the best sighting opportunities.
Our customer service team, with in-office staff 100% focused on our visitors' needs, is always available to help you plan your experience and ensure your expectations are met in every detail.
In addition, we have professional nature photographers available to advise you on the most suitable equipment and the best techniques to use in each of our hides. These experts not only understand the behavior of the species that inhabit the estate, but also have recognized publications and works on the fauna of the Sierra de Andújar.
Our entire team works toward a common goal: to preserve, share, and empower you to experience the natural beauty of this unique corner of the Iberian Peninsula.
OUR ESTATE: CONSERVATION, NATURE AND PHOTOGRAPHY

Our 900-hectare estate, nestled in the very heart of the Sierra de Andújar, has been managed with a firm commitment to conserving the native Mediterranean flora and fauna. Here, nature thrives freely thanks to sustainable management practices that protect habitats and foster ecological balance.

Conceived as a sanctuary for wildlife and nature photography, the estate features a network of professional photographic hides, designed to offer a unique and environmentally respectful experience.

We provide hides for the sighting and photography of the Iberian lynx, raptors, forest birds, and amphibian species, located in carefully selected spots to maximize the chances of sightings without disturbing the animals’ natural behavior.

Our mission is: to bring photographers and naturalists closer to the natural wealth of this mountain range while, at the same time, protecting and enhancing the ecological values of the surrounding environment.
SIERRA DE ANDÚJAR: A NATURAL TREASURE OF SOUTHERN EUROPE

The Sierra de Andújar, located in the heart of Sierra Morena (Jaén province), is one of the most valuable strongholds in the Iberian Peninsula for the conservation of Mediterranean wildlife.
With its mosaic of holm oak and cork oak forests, interspersed with Mediterranean scrubland, this protected area harbors extraordinary biodiversity and stands out as one of the last natural refuges of the Iberian lynx, the world’s most endangered feline.

Adding to these natural riches is the presence of the Jándula River, which runs through the park and creates vital ecological corridors for many riverside species, such as the otter, kingfisher, grey heron, and grey wagtail. This diversity of habitats makes the Sierra de Andújar an exceptional destination for both naturalists and wildlife photographers seeking to capture the essence of the Mediterranean landscape in its purest form.
